Bloomfest is an artisan market full of locally-made goods and includes a plant sale, kids’ crafts & activities, food & beverage trucks, live music, and community art projects. Bring your family to Midway Village on Saturday, May 24. Gates open at 10:00 am (1:00 pm game time). Admission includes entrance to the Victorian Village and the Museum Center, where you can also see the Rockford Peaches exhibit. The Call for Papers is now open for the 7 th Annual Women in Baseball Conference, co-sponsored by SABR and the IWBC. The conference will be a virtual event, September 19-21, 2025
Theme: “Baseball Beyond the Diamond”
Topics can focus on ideas such as: announcers, owners, execs, writers, artists, architects and so
much more. All topics and time periods related to women’s baseball are welcome.
Submit abstracts to Dr. Leslie Heaphy at [email protected] – 200 words, plus contact
information and short bio. Abstracts accepted for posters and/or oral presentations.

Women in Baseball Week is an annual, worldwide event recognizing the value, diversity, and cultural significance of women in baseball. Women play a vital role in all aspects of the sport north, south, east and west–-help us celebrate each one! Tournaments, teams, libraries, museums, and individuals will join the International Women’s Baseball Center to recognize women’s contributions to baseball around the globe.
