The IWBC is teaming up with our friends at Old Fort Baseball Co. in launching the Support Women’s Baseball campaign. From the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League to today’s rising stars, women have always had a place in the game. It’s time more people knew it. A portion of proceeds from every shirt sold goes directly to the IWBC and our mission to preserve the history and advance the future of women’s baseball. Join the International Women’s Baseball Center (IWBC) for the historic groundbreaking of Beyer Stadium at Maybelle Blair Park! This milestone event celebrates the official start of this iconic stadium restoration following the success of IWBC’s A Place of Their Own Phase One Campaign. And as a highlight of the event, we’re honored to welcome women’s baseball trailblazer and IWBC co-founder Maybelle Blair back to Rockford to help us celebrate!
The festivities are set for Monday, October 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. just inside of the ticket booth entrance of Beyer Stadium at Maybelle Blair Park. Enjoy networking, a special program with featured guests, photo opportunities with Maybelle Blair, and light food, beverages and music.
