The IWBC is teaming up with our friends at Old Fort Baseball Co. in launching the Support Women’s Baseball campaign. From the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League to today’s rising stars, women have always had a place in the game. It’s time more people knew it. A portion of proceeds from every shirt sold goes directly to the IWBC and our mission to preserve the history and advance the future of women’s baseball. Let’s walk together on Saturday, September 27th to support and promote women in baseball. All donations collected will help support the mission and work of the IWBC. Imagine helping to put girls’ teams on the diamond, supporting the creation of exhibits about women’s baseball, providing support artifact preservation, creation of virtual programming and so much more. Visitors to World War II Days engage in elaborate 1940s displays in historical buildings on the museum’s 148-acre campus, which becomes the back drop of a European village during World War II. This military re-enactment is known to be the largest in the Midwest and draws thousands of visitors yearly to the Rockford region and the museum grounds. Beyer Stadium at Maybelle Blair Park: Groundbreaking & Reception

Join the International Women’s Baseball Center (IWBC) for the historic groundbreaking of Beyer Stadium at Maybelle Blair Park! This milestone event celebrates the official start of this iconic stadium restoration following the success of IWBC’s A Place of Their Own Phase One Campaign. And as a highlight of the event, we’re honored to welcome women’s baseball trailblazer and IWBC co-founder Maybelle Blair back to Rockford to help us celebrate!

The festivities are set for Monday, October 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. just inside of the ticket booth entrance of Beyer Stadium at Maybelle Blair Park. Enjoy networking, a special program with featured guests, photo opportunities with Maybelle Blair, and light food, beverages and music. SABR Joint Chapter Meeting with the IWBC: Guest Jane Leavy

The WI Ken Keltner, Chicago Emil Rothe, MN Halsey Hall, and Central Illinois Chapters, along with the International Women’s Baseball Center, will host a virtual meeting on October 7th at 7 PM CT.
